Today, I woke up a bit grumpy. Of course, I would have liked to sleep more. The sky was covered and the peaks of the mountains were not visible. But just as fast, I realised that it's Friday and the weekend is coming! And this put a smile on my face.
While waiting for the bus, I wrote a message to my Spanish friend Maite. Since I didn't have any holiday this summer, I bought 2 plane tickets for Madrid for 1st-5th October and I can't wait to see her and to visit the Spanish capital.
In the bus, I started to fantasize about that. I saw Maite, I imagined the city, the sites, me taking pictures...
When I got off the bus, the frisky air was smelling of freshly cut grass. And, if you want to visit Spain, too, and you did not have any summer holiday, I wish you "bon voyage" and I offer you a few articles that might make you day-dreaming of your destination.
Here is one about Madrid in English. Actually the whole site is a fountain of information.
Another two articles which I enjoyed much are this one and this one, in Romanian. The second one speaks about Spanish cuisine, tapas, chorizo, gazpacho and jamon (can't wait to taste all these goodies).
And last, but not least, if you want to visit my capital, an article in NY Times about Bucharest. And it's not all bad
It almost makes me home-sick. Here it is: Bucharest district struts again.
Enjoy!
